The Namu Too

The Namu Too was re-powered in 2007 with Volvo's most efficient engine of it's class.  The new engine meets or exceeds the EU's regulations on emissions for marine diesels.  Canada does not have such regulations at this time.

The Namu Too is equipped with an on board sewage treatment system and  holding tank.

 Koi Winds

The gardens at Koi Winds are pesticide and chemical free. The ducks eat the slugs, the Koi eat the mosquito larvae and the dogs keep the deer out.

Recycling

Sointula is a wilderness area.  We do not have garbage or recycling pick up.  Our recycling depot is run by stalwart volunteers.  Gas and ferry fares are funded by the deposit on donated returnables.  The best thing a visitor can do is take their recyclables back home with them.

Composting

The gardens at Koi winds are fed with compost.  If you would like to contribute a bucket is provided.
